We are on our way! Thom and I left the Des Moines airport this morning at 6:25. Our flight was on time which is always rare. We arrived at Denver in great time. When we arrived we decided to see if we could go standby on an earlier flight. The flight we had originally had us having a 12 hour layover in Denver. We had thought of renting a car and going to the Coors Brewery, but they are closed on Wednesdays, so we decided to see if we could do standby. The lady at the desk was very friendly and we officially got booked for an 11:30 flight! That saves 8 hours in an airport! So we will make it to Vancouver in great timing.
As we were walking around the Denver airport we found a shoe shiner. Thom decided to get his boots shined-he's never had it done before! His boots look great! We are now waiting at our gate for our flight. More to come later!
